Augustines Grapefruit Marmalade: A very small-batch grapefruit marmalade made at Augustines of Portobello using Morrison grapefruit from Gisborne. Not too sweet, not too bitter — just right. A beautiful addition to toast, pastries and baking, or enjoy it as part of our Toast Toppers Pack.

Augustines Blackcurrants won a gold medal at the Outstanding New Zealand Food Producer Awards 2023. The judges described our blackcurrants as: “Amazing flavour, so versatile in its application.”

Augustines of Central Blackcurrants in Cassis is a mouth-watering combination of South Canterbury organic blackcurrants and a traditional French Cassis liqueur syrup. An excellent addition to any dessert, cocktail or simply over your favourite ice cream.

Please note: Our Blackcurrants in Cassis now come in a redesigned jar with a fresh new look, while maintaining the same product and quantity.

1x 580ml Sundrop Apricots in Riesling Syrup

Augustines Apricots won a gold medal at the Outstanding New Zealand Food Producer Awards & were finalists in the Cuisine Artisan section at the New Zealand Food Awards.

Dubbed as “A little piece of Central Otago in a jar”, our pioneering product is still a firm favourite and an attractive pantry staple. Tree-ripened at Moorpark & Mulberry Orchard in Cromwell, then hand preserved by Gus in a Central Otago Riesling syrup.

1x 580ml Black Doris Plums in Pinot Noir
Our Augustines Black Doris Plums in Pinot Noir won the Earth category at the 2021 Outstanding NZ Food Producer Awards. The judges loved the simplicity of ingredients and described Black Doris plums in pinot noir syrup as having “a lovely story of terroir’’.

1x 580ml Rhubarb in Rosé
We are delighted to have received a Gold medal in the 2022 Outstanding NZ Food Producer Awards for our Rhubarb in Rosé. We are told Gold Medals are reserved for products that the judges believe have “actually reached perfection" - give them a try for yourself! Our feedback said: "Homemade appeal without all the effort! Sticky, sweet syrup, judges would scoff every drop"

The Rhubarb in Rosé is not too sweet and not too tart, picked locally from various spray-free patches including Gus’s parents house on the Otago Peninsula. It is then cooked to perfection in a (perfect match ) rosé wine syrup.
