Piccalilli goes hard with anything rich: Try it with ham or roast beef, or just throw it in a sandwich with some sharp cheese. It’s also really good on sausages, burgers, or a cheese toastie. Even works with eggs on toast if you’re feeling it. Basically use it anywhere you want a tangy, crunchy kick. If you’ve been to Augustines of Portobello, you’ve probably already tasted our piccalilli, served alongside our popular Eggs and Sirloin Ham.

We use Dave’s Asparagus in our Augustines Piccalilli: My Farm Fresh is a proper local New Zealand setup run by Dave and Bronwyn, focused on growing high-quality asparagus the right way. They’re based in Mid Canterbury and put a lot into doing things properly, like careful irrigation, reducing waste, and making sure everything is fresh and sustainable.

Ingredients: Asparagus 36%, fennel bulb, capsicum, onion, cauliflower, sugar, salt, spices, cornflour, xanthium gum, cider vinegar, white balsamic vinegar.
